Dell PowerEdge Blade Servers

pe1855small.jpgIn data centers where rack space is at a premium, Dell's PowerEdge blade servers can offer more performance per square foot than 1 or 2U servers and and still offer the expandibility as server needs grow.

Whether you're looking for replacement parts for Dell's legacy PowerEdge 1655MC blade systems or you've moved on to the multi-core PowerEdge 1955 series, Flagship Technologies has the parts you need to keep your operations running smoothly.

Blade servers offer the simplicity of easy maintenance since each individual module may be removed as needed.  Replacing a hard drive or adding additional memory becomes a breeze.  Cable management is a non-factor once installed since cables are routed to each enclosure. Finally, the modular design of blade servers helps not only with improved power consumption but more efficient heat dissipation which can be a challenge in larger data centers.

Dell PowerEdge blade servers will accommodate up to two CPUs and two hard drives per module.  Memory capacity varies with each model.  In addition, remote access and fiber channel connections can be activated by installing simple internal adapter cards.

The Dell PowerEdge 1855 and 1955 models use the same 5U chassis which can hold up to ten (10) blades.  Both models can commingle in the same enclosure simultaneously.  Older models like the PowerEdge 1655MC can accommodate up to six (6) blades per enclosure.
