The Dell PowerEdge 2650 is an older 32-bit general purpose 2U rackmount server that, despite its age, can still be found in many datacenters running simple tasks such as email hosting or file sharing.

Dell made two versions of the PowerEdge 2650.  The original design had a 400MHz front-side bus featuring dual Intel Xeon processors up to 2.8GHz.  Later models sported system boards with an increased bus speed to 533MHz and dual Intel Xeon processors up to 3.2GHz and 1MB cache. Both versions include a chassis that features five (5) hot-plug SCSI U160 hard drive bays, a maximum of 12GB RAM, dual redundant power supplies and up to three (3) PCI or PCI-X riser slots. Although the system is older, if your organization is on a budget and doesn't require demanding hardware, the PowerEdge 2650 might work for you.
