The Dell PowerEdge T320 server has several options for RAID controllers. Adapter cards have full-height brackets and are installed in a dedicated storage slot for internal RAID configurations or a PCIe riser slot in the case of external RAID setups.
PERC H310: The PERC H310 controller is a low-profile, base controller that offers support for RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10, & 50. With data transfer rates of up to 6Gb/s per port, the H310 will accommodate faster drives for a total of up to 16 drives in a RAID configuration or 32 drives in non-RAID configurations.
PERC H710: The PERC H710 controller includes all the features of the above H310 controller and adds support for RAID levels 6 & 60 while also providing 512MB non-volatile flash battery-backed write cache. H710 controllers also support up to 32 logical drives and self-encrypting drives (SED).
PERC H710P: The PERC H710P is the same as the H710 with increased non-volatile flash write cache to 1GB.
PERC H810: The PERC H810 controller offers all the features of the H710P in addition to enterprise support for up to 192 hard drives in external enclosures like the PowerVault MD1200 and PowerVault MD1220 storage arrays.
