Overview

The Dell^™ Broadcom 5709S is a 2.5 Gigabit controller which features a PCI-e x4 interface. By delivering 2.5 Gigabit networking throughput with convergence technology this network card is designed to boost server performance.

This Network Interface Card is able to double the throughput of standard Gigabit networking while decreasing overall CPU utilization. This NIC is optimized for embedded blade server applications. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
