Cisco SSD Form Factors

Cisco solid state drives (SSDs) come in two main form factors: 2.5 inches and M.2.

  • 2.5-inch SSDs are the most common type of SSD and are typically used in desktops, servers, and storage systems. They are 7mm or 9.5mm thick and have a SATA or NVMe interface.
  • M.2 SSDs are a newer form factor that is smaller and more efficient than 2.5-inch SSDs. They are typically used in laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices. M.2 SSDs can have a SATA or NVMe interface.

Here is a table of the different Cisco SSD form factors:

Form Factor Thickness Interface
2.5 inches 7mm or 9.5mm SATA or NVMe
M.2 22mm or 30mm SATA or NVMe

The specific form factor that you need will depend on the system that you are using. You can find the supported form factors for your system in the system documentation.
